Nelly Chicago reviews
It was a lot
The event seemed cheaply put together. While there were some artist I enjoyed- majority of the artists were so loud and muffled I couldn’t understand a word they were saying. Also, the concert started at 7pm and was still going on at 11pm (when we decided to leave). The concert could have been cut down atleast 2 hours if the DJ didn’t come out and play between each performer. I have never left a concert early… and I LOVE these artist- but this was just too much. After 4 hours of playing the crowd was either completely sober or blackout drunk. Right before we left the two groups of girls in front of us got into a fight and had to be escorted out by security.
Too long
Doors opened at 5:30 and we sat down at 6:35. Nelly didn’t start until 11:35, that’s way too long for a crowd to be waiting for the main artist to perform. Here’s my biggest complaint…the time wasted in between the other various artists that performed. The DJ was exciting in the first hour but after that, no bueno. The girl next to me fell asleep and by the time Nelly walked on stage my entire row and the one behind me had already left. This concert could easily be cut down to maximum 3 hours and that’s being generous.
Get it together.
